ELECTION  NOTIFICATION

The Members of the Coimbatore Branch of Indian Medical Association are hereby informed that as per rule14 and Bye Laws of the Coimbatore Branch of Indian Medical Association, the office bearers, Members of the Managing committee, Councils (Both State & Central), Board of Coimbatore Sub_faculty of IMA CGP, The Private Hospitals and Nursing Home Board and IMA AMS are to be elected from among the members of the Association on 21.11.10. Nominations are hereby called, for the following Office/Representations  for the particular number of vacancies noted against each.

For  Managing committee : Existing MC members should have attended at least 25% of the MC meetings in the previous year.  Anyhow this condition  is not applicable for new members who apply for the first time to MC.

THE PRIVATE HOSPITALS AND NURSING  HOMES  BOARD  For the year 2011

Only  Members of Nursing Home Board are eligible to contest for the following posts.

Chairman                  : 1             Hony. Treasurer     : 1

Secretary                  : 1           

Managing committee members  : 15

Nominations shall be received for all the above notified Offices/ Representations by the Returning Officer at the Associations Office at 92, Syrian Church Road No 2, Coimbatore in person till 13.11.2010 before 5.00 p.m.

Nominations shall not be received after the above notified time and date. Candidates can withdraw their nominations on or before 5 p.m.16.11.2010. Non-receipt of withdrawals of nominations before the above noted time and date shall be interpreted as the consent  of  the candidate to contest.  In case of contest, there shall be a secret ballot, which will be held on 21.11.10  Timings will be informed in case of election.

Each proposer/seconder can propose/second only one candidate for one office. The members standing for election should not have arrears of subscription at the time of nominations.

• Nomination Forms  can be had from the Association Office during working hours from  20.10.10. 10.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
• Last date for receiving Nomination Forms will be 13.11.10. 5.00 P.M.
• Last date for withdrawal of Nominations will be  16.11.10. 5.00 P.M.
• Election will be held (if needed) on 21.11.10.
